Wellbeing
.
At Westall Secondary College, we recognise the importance of student wellbeing and the need for students to develop capabilities necessary to thrive, contribute and respond positively to challenges and opportunities in life.

We have a proactive and strategic approach to Wellbeing at Westall that includes:
- Explicit teaching of Wellbeing skills and capabilities in all year levels:
Junior School: Brain Care subject (Resilience Project and Social Stencil)
These programs aim to build knowledge, skills and capabilities in three key pillars that have been proven to cultivate positive emotion: gratitude, empathy and mindfulness, with emotional literacy being a foundational skill to practise these. It also teaches practical, social concepts and strategies to build positive peer relationship skills through a culture of respect, care and collaboration.
Middle School: Bio-Dash
Bio-Dash is a practical and engaging wellbeing program that equips individuals to self-manage their mental health using evidence-based strategies and personal feedback.
Senior School: Study Without Stress
